I’ve enjoyed your series on the American Revolution. I recently heard a recorded lecture from Andrew J. Galambos that put forth the theory that it was Tom Paine who was the primary author of the Declaration of Independence. Have you ever heard this theory? I found it rather interesting.

I heard it on Richard Grove’s Peace Revolution Podcast. (http://peacerevolution.podomatic.com/entry/2014-11-21T06_02_35-08_00). The three part lecture starts at about 1 hr 50 mins (according to the notes). It could probably be found elsewhere but that’s where I heard it. If you ever have time to listen, I’d be curious as to what you thought.

    Thanks for your efforts.

I’ve heard that theory before, though I’m not sure if I’ve listened to the specific presentation you’re linking to there so I’ll have to check it out. It’s an interesting theory, and while it’s certainly plausible, so far I’ve not heard enough evidence to convince me for sure. But that doesn’t mean such evidence doesn’t exist, of course.
